MICHAEL JORDAN'S, GRAND CENTRAL STATION, NEW YORK
A steak house for Michael Jordan overlooking the Main Concourse at Grand Central Terminal, designed while Sam Trimble was a studio leader at the Rockwell Group. The restaurant features a cocktail lounge and bar, a large dining room and a smaller private dining area. All of the bar metal work and lighting by Roo Trimble. Additional details by Brent Trimble.
Many elements of the restaurant were inspired by a train designed in the 1930s known as the Twentieth Century Limited, famous for its elegance and streamlined shape. With the use of finishes, materials, furniture, and lighting, it evokes the romantic age of train travel and the energy of the Industrial Era long-identified with Grand Central Terminal.
