MICHAEL JORDAN'S, GRAND CENTRAL STATION

Date: 1998
Size: 7000 sq/ft
Client: The Glazier Group / Michael Jordan
Location: Grand Central Station, New York

Overview:
A steak house for Michael Jordan overlooking the Main Concourse at Grand Central Terminal.
The restaurant features a cocktail lounge and bar, a large dining room and a smaller private dining area.
Many elements of the restaurant inspired by a train designed in the 1930's known as the Twentieth Century Limited, famous for its elegance and streamlined shape.
With the use of finishes, materials, furniture, and lighting, it evokes the romantic age of train travel and the energy of the Industrial Era long-identified with Grand Central Terminal.
The restaurant received an Annual Interiors Award from Interiors magazine in 1999.
